The Students

We are in Mr. Schultz's fifth grade class at Byrd Community Academy. Our room number is 405. There are 16 students in our class. There are fourteen boys and two girls. We are all African American and all of us are between 10 and 12 years old. We think we are pretty smart and we are willing to fight for what we think is right and believe in. The students all get along. We like each other like brothers and sisters.

Most of us live around the neighborhood. There a few of us that are bussed in from the westside, but went here before we moved away from the area or our parents went to Byrd when they were kids.
