Action Plan - Letters/Emails

Here is alink to our first letter that we sent our to over 100 people we thought could help us! We got so many responses from this letter and could not believe how many people supported our cause. Everytime we get questions about what we are doing we send our this letter. The letter talks about our project, what is wrong with the school, and invites people to "see the school for themselves since we do not think they would send their kids to a school that is falling apart."

There have been hundreds of letters of support written on our behalf or wishing us encouragement to keep our fight for what is right alive. You can see a partial list below of all those supporters.

If you want to write letters on our behalf click to get the names and addresses and emails of the decision makers. Maybe they will respond to you. They have not responded to us!

We do have to say that we are disappointed that the local decision makers in Chicago (the mayor of Chicago, the CEO of Chicago Public Schools, the School Board President, and the Director of Operations) have not responded to our numerous letters and emails. We have only gotten a response from the Arne Duncan's (CEO) assistant saying the office is going to investigate and gather their facts. We have been waiting for months (our original letter was sent on February 27, 2004) for this to happen and we are still stuck in or "bootleg" school.

People that have written letters of support us for our campaign for a new school. You can click on the links below to read their actual letters. There are hundreds and hundreds so you may not see them all but we think that we have scanned and linked you to some of the most important and impressive ones. AND WE THOUGHT NOBODY WOULD" LISTEN TO A BUNCH OF BLACK KIDS FROM CABRINI GREEN" (SHAQUICE)!
